ELGIN, IL — Kane County residents can get free coronavirus tests Monday at the Elgin Sports Complex, with the Illinois Department of Public Health operating a mobile testing unit on the site. The unit will be open until 4 p.m. Monday at the Elgin facility, 709 Sports Way. A mobile unit will also be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Hampshire High School, according to a news release. Those who want to be tested must provide a name and phone number so officials can reach them later with their test results. A photo ID is not required.
