Armerding grew up playing classical violin and listening to 80's pop radio, and now performs with Rosin, Barnstar! and The Fretful Porcupine. Over the course of three thousand performances, he has shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Nickel Creek, Josh Ritter, David Wilcox and Toad the Wet Sprocket.
