PLEASE READ THE DETAILS OF THIS FIELD TRIP CAREFULLY. EACH FIELD TRIP HAS UNIQUE GUIDELINES FOR AGES, NUMBER OF CHAPERONES, ETC. NO REFUNDS! This field trip is for Heartland Charter School students and their families. This is project-based learning at its finest! Your student can plan, make, and sell items of their choice. Your student will be able to sell Food, crafts, products, service (for example, face-painting), carnival games (it costs to play), etc. Students will have the opportunity to run their own business, they set the price and they make the money. You may sell handmade products, homegrown produce, repurposed items. Feel free to be creative!Please be sure to have a standing sign to advertise your booth, what you are selling, and prices of the items. There will be poster boards and markers there if you want to quickly make your posters there before the fair begins. Parents will help their student secure their money. For example, the student could wear a fanny pack or a parent could man the cashbox. Please bring your own change to make change when selling your products.Check out the educational resources for this field trip. We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value. Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student. **To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.** Can I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE! Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. What are the check-in procedures? 9:30 am to set up, 10:00 am to start. Check in with Stephani and Flor. They will be wearing Green Heartland Shirts and have clipboards. Is there on-site parking available? There is parking available at the park, as well as, directly on Meadow St. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Pack it in and pack it out. Take your trash with you.
