What’s that? Got a lot of bike-y junk and looking to make some cash? Wanna buy more bike-y junk? How about trading bike-y junk for other bike-y junk? O yea! The Knox Bike Swap & Shop hosted by Two Bikes and Central Filling Station runs from 12:00pm - 5:00pm on May 1st, 2022 at Central Filling Station (900 N. Central Ave, Knoxville, TN 37902). Admission to browse, buy, trade or hangout is absolutely FREE. But if you want to SELL anything–bicycles and bicycle parts, accessories etc.–you’ll need to register for a vendor’s table. Registration for a vendors’ table is $10 and includes a free beverage ticket. You’re welcome. BUT WAIT! Did we also tell you about the bike show? Tell me about the bike show! Is your bike a blinged-out shred sled, a real show-stopper? Well, if you think your ride has got what it takes, roll it on out and see how it stacks up. Admission to the bike show is FREE and trophies are awarded to best of five categories: Vintage Road Bike, Vintage Mountain Bike, Modern Road Bike, Modern Mountain Bike, Alt-Bike (Bikepacking, Touring, Commuter). To enter your bike into the show, visit the registration table. Maximum entry is two bikes per person. Winners will be announced at 4:00pm. Sounds great! I’ve got a bunch of stuff to sell. How do I become a vendor? Simple! Registration for a single table is $10 (which includes a free beverage ticket). Can I register for a table the day of the event? If you absolutely must then maaaaybe we can work something out on the day of, but we ask that all vendors register before the event so that we can have an accurate count for the number of tables needed. Who do I need to talk to about finding my assigned table? Vendors will receive their table locations on the day of the swap. Just visit the registration table and we’ll direct you to your assigned table(s). And if you have any other questions we’ll be happy to help. Hey, I’m a vendor. What time should I get to the swap? What time do I need to be outta there? The Knox Swap & Shop runs from 12:00pm - 5:00pm on May 1st, 2022. We ask that vendors show up at 11:00am (when CFS opens) so we can get everyone situated before the swap starts. When you arrive, please see the registration table and we’ll get you to your assigned table(s). We also ask that vendors have their remaining junk all packed up and their tables cleared before 6:00pm. How much space do I have to sell my stuff? Each registered vendor will be provided with a table (give or take, 2.5’x8’) and maybe a chair or two along with enough additional space for 1-2 bikes. If you think you’ll need more room than that, you’re welcome to register for an additional table…or two…I don’t know, how much junk do you have? I’m registered as a vendor, but now I can’t attend. Can I get a refund? Bummer! Unfortunately, vendor registration fees are non-refundable. I don’t have much to sell. Can I share a table with a friend? For sure! But figuring out who gets the free beer included with the registration is up to you. I’ve got, like, a LOT of stuff. Can I register multiple tables? You can register as many tables as your heart desires. What kind of payment will the vendors accept? It’s up to the individual vendor but CASH is always the preferred option. If I had a nickel for everytime someone is fixin’ to say, “do you have Venmo?” I’d have a lot of nickels. Can I sell my stuff without buying a table? Sorry but no. That wouldn’t be fair to other paying vendors. Registration for a vendors’ table only costs $10 AND you get a free drink. Deal of the century. I only have a bike to sell. Do I still need to register for a table? Unfortunately at this time we do not have a “bike corral” (but check back next year). If you don’t want to pay the full $10 for a table, we suggest splitting one with a friend. Or sweet-talking a vendor into letting you sell your bike at their table.
