This is incredibly heartbreaking to do, but I can not take my dog with me to the Domestic Violence shelter. He is 10 years old (birthday was February 19) and I can't imagine him living lonely in a cold, concrete cell at a shelter. I also have a cat who is 19 years old, but I will probably have to say goodbye to her as it's the most humane for her ailing body.
I can pay you, CashApp, monthly or even come by weekly to help in anyway I can in exchange for giving my best friend a temporary home. He is 5-6lbs, not neutered, healthy, loving and awesome with my kids (ages 2 and 4). His bestie for the last 10 years has been my cat, so I know he will love yours if you have one.
He takes up the tiniest amount of space in a home, but all of your heart. I know he will be scared and it will take him some time to figure out you're a safe person, but he is worth it. He doesn't even bark at everything, just gives you an alarm for the mailman and the vaccum lol.
Please, if you can help us contact me ASAP! I have until March 7th at 9am before I checkout the hotel. I have dog food, his leash, a little portable carrier (the soft kind) and will help every step of the way.
