Looking for a work exchange: light housekeeping and caregiving in exchange for room and board + $1000/month. Duties include caregiver/friend to young adult developmentally disabled woman who lives with her parents, some house cleaning, meal prep, and walking the dog (with our daughter). Your new bedroom is sunny and away from the other bedrooms of the house. Monday--Friday 6AM--12PM. We are looking for a woman who wants to make a difference in the lives of others and is dependable, and loves to learn. Work Schedule: It is Monday to Friday from 6 am to Noon (30 hours a week) About you: Non-smoker (of any kind) Looking for someone who is outgoing, personable, flexible option to pick up other shifts if desired Comfortable with providing personal care Comfortable with communicating with the family Driver’s license (preferred but not a must) Able to pay attention to our daughter’s needs About us: Quiet, loving family who cares for our daughter and for all who live in our home We live by the Mi Casa, Tu Casa ideal because we want all our caregivers to feel that they are at home too. Mom always works from home, so there is a lot of support for the caregivers during their shifts. Dad often works from home as well and he is also a wonderful source of support. We have a service dog who is loving and well behaved. He loves walks in the park and meeting, well…everyone. We have a very timid cat who lives only in Mom and Dad’s bedroom; he’s never in the rest of the house. We are not vegetarian, but are veggie friendly.
