Illegal casinos, commonly known as Casitas, have become an increasing problem in California. Learn how to effectively combat them. This POST certified class will teach students how to combat Casitas from beginning to end. Students will be taught how to identify, and collect, evidence of felony crimes that occur in all Casitas. The bulk of the class is devoted to identifying the employees, managers, and owners behind the operations so they can be charged as conspirators. The class is designed for patrol officers, gang officers, crime impact teams, organized crime detectives, supervisors, district attorneys, and Assistant US attorneys.
