Raptor Roundup is back by popular demand! Embark on a search for native raptors and meet one of our Red-tailed Hawks up close. Featuring a lecture and live hawk presentation, this popular program invites you to learn about the raptor species found in Rhode Island and how they have adapted to live in this region. Hike through a variety of habitats in search of wild raptor species such as Cooper's Hawks and Ospreys, or even stop to listen for owls along the way! Your naturalist guides will use biofacts to explain why and how these raptors hunt certain prey. After your hike, warm up with hot chocolate by the fire. Binoculars are helpful but not required. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly: it will likely by chilly!
