SPRING ABSTRACTS His paintings show often in art galleries, museums and exhibits in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Kleidon’s work has been reviewed by Edward Lucie-Smith, the legendary art critic, who says, “Kleidon’s paintings are not Minimalist. They are deeply personal. You see the motion of the creator’s hand. They are in no way blank – on the contrary, they are bursting with life…” Inspired by the boulders at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, Kleidon’s Taliesin series paintings revel in the rich colors and textures of these natural forms. Each painting has an almost sculptural or architectural presence, a reflection of his background in design, architecture, and sculpture. Many are inspired by petroglyphs found in the Arizona desert and created by ancient Native Americans or are influenced by the graceful strokes of Asian calligraphy. ‘Unleash Your Imagination’ is a theme in Kleidon’s artwork and of his new book of that title to be published this spring by River Grove Books. It takes you on a journey of self-discovery, showing you how innovation and optimism can transform your life. Kleidon is passionate about living a well-designed life and using imagination and creativity to unleash your most important dreams and desires. His paintings express this exciting, optimistic spirit.
