Central Film Festival is one of the largest student-led high school film festivals in the country, taking place at the Historic Fox Theatre.
Central Film Festival presented this year by Simmons Bank is in its eighth year and attracts 600-700 short film submissions from across the United States and over 60 foreign countries.
Proceeds from the film festival go to the Central High School Film Program and the Downtown Springfield Association, which focuses on keeping center city Springfield vibrant for generations to come.
In addition to film screenings, the Central Film Festival creates an authentic experience with special guest Q&A's in a historic setting at the Historic Fox Theatre at the History Museum on the Square.
This is a great time to support the next generation of student filmmakers and enjoy the tastes and experiences of Downtown Springfield.
