KMBR Architect Bassem Tawfik and Governor Court Holdings Inc., and MD., Sodhi Singh Sodhi, of New Westminster have asked the City, Heritage Society, to consider an Application for a 80 Room Hotel, at the existing Historic Prison, located at 319 Governors Court New Westminster. There is also an ongoing Investigation on matter of Forgery by BCFSA, against Realtor Sepy Kopahi, of Remax City Realty and HM Tax, Vancouver, Accountant Gurinder Sodhi. A one-time member of the controversial International Sikh Youth Federation faced tough questioning at the Air India trial on Tuesday. Sodhi Singh Sodhi testified that while he knows several people with alleged ties to the bombings, he said he knows nothing about a plot to blow up an Air India jet in 1985. INDEPTH: Air India case The court was told Sodhi's home phone was left as a contact number when two plane tickets were purchased by phone from CP Air in June of that year. As well, the court heard that Sodhi had been identified as resembling the individual who paid for the tickets at the airline's Vancouver office. However, Sodhi denies any involvement. The plane tickets had connections to Air India flights and allowed baggage containing bombs to be placed aboard two planes. First segment of trial wraps up A total of five chapters of evidence were presented. This one dealt with airline ticketing and baggage handling procedures in June 1985. The trial reviewed a new chapter of evidence dealing with the explosion of Air India flight 182 off the coast of Ireland. Two B.C. men Ripudaman Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri who faced murder charges in the deaths 329 people aboard an Air India jet, were set free, as stated in AIR INDIA Kanishka report, compiled by Justice John Major., which exploded off the coast of Ireland, and the deaths of two baggage handlers in Japan
