SUMMIT, NJ — The grand opening of the Tiny Forest in Summit will take place next month, where the community will plant over 150 trees just in time for spring.
Mayor Nora Radest will perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grant opening on Saturday, April 2 at 9 a.m. The Tiny Forest is located behind the Summit Community Center at 10 Morris Avenue.
Following the ceremony, community volunteers will plant over 150 trees in the forest. Signs with information about the different tree species will be added to the Tiny Forest throughout the spring.
This project is funded by grants from the Summit Conservancy and New Jersey American Water.
