Here are the top three stories today in Franklin: The Franklin Police Department is working to identify four suspects involved in the theft of two iPhones from the CoolSprings Apple Store. According to police, two of the individuals distracted store employees, while the other two cut security cables and hid the phones in their clothes. Anyone with information about the suspects' identities is asked to contact Franklin PD, for a cash reward of up to $1,000. (Franklin PD News)After vote tabulation discrepancies found in the October election, Williamson County will shift to new voting machines in the 2022 election cycle. The discrepancies in October were not found to affect the final vote tally, which officials verified via hand count. For 2022, the county will rent and use Electronic Systems & Software machines, which function similarly to the previously-used Dominion voting machines. (Tennessean)Yesterday, a Nashville man previously convicted of sex trafficking a minor was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison. According to evidence and testimony at trial, 42-year-old Tavarie Williams picked up a 12-year-old runaway girl and advertised her for prostitution in 2016. Williams was arrested at a hotel in Franklin on Jul. 29, 2016, and the girl was rescued.
