SANTA CRUZ- — A $100,000 grant will allow the Harm Reduction Coalition of Santa Cruz County to expand, the Pajaronian reported. According to the newspaper, the grant comes from National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors. It will allow for the nonprofit to expand its syringe service program capacity to respond to COVID-19, The Pajaronian reported. The Pajaronian also reported that some of the money will also be used to fund a new Viral Disease Prevention Coordinator and allow for more people to received harm reduction services. "With these funds we can begin offering rapid testing for HCV and HIV onsite to our participants while they get services from us," Fiscal Director Kate Garrett told the Pajaronian. — Click here for the full Pajaronian article.
