Fatal Marin Shooting Probed

MARIN CITY, CA — A male victim was fatally shot in Marin City Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Witnesses at 3:49 p.m. reported hearing gunshots and seeing a person down in the 400 block of Drake Avenue, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said. Arriving deputies found the victim unresponsive, the Sheriff's Office said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office said there was no known threat to the community. It the agency said detectives were expected to work into the night. No additional information was immediately available.
