DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As of Tuesday, the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) reports 8,501 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 431 deaths. The numbers include 37 new cases since Monday, again reflecting a decrease in daily new cases compared to recent weeks. County health officials said two coronavirus-related deaths were reported since Monday. The DCHD did not include information about where those who died had been living or whether they had underlying conditions. They are: A man in his 70s A man in his 80s The news comes as cases in Illinois reach 133,639. The statewide death toll from coronavirus was at 6,398 as of Tuesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. According to the county's breakdown, the majority of cases have affected those between the ages of 40 and 70, but all age ranges had confirmed cases.
