DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 76 cases in the past week, according to updated information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). As of Oct. 14, the village had reported 834 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 910 as of Oct. 21. In nearby Westmont, the number of coronavirus cases had increased by 23 cases. As of Oct. 14, there had been 623 cases reported in Westmont. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of Oct. 14 was 646. According to county health officials, these numbers could be "much higher" due to unreported cases.
