ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police arrested a Homer Glen man last month who was wanted on an outstanding warrant after failing to appear in Will County court on a hate crime charge, according to police records.
Patrick Goshorn, 30, was arrested Feb. 18 in the 9900 block of El Cameno Real Drive, police said. The man was first arrested in September of 2018 in connection with a vandalism incident where prosecutors said Goshorn spray painted Islamophobic messages on the sidewalk outside of a Muslim woman's home.
According to officials, the woman came home to see the front of her house, car and sidewalk had been defaced.
Shortly after charges were filed, Goshorn was able to post bond to be released pending trial. Judges told Patch a condition of the man's bond was that he be electrically monitored and not allowed within 3,000 feet of the victim's residence. Goshorn still failed to show up for trial, prompting Orland Park police to execute the arrest warrant.
