Description
CROYDON, PA — A tire fire that occurred Wednesday morning in Croydon is being considered arson, according to authorities.
The Croydon Fire Company was dispatched to a rubbish fire in the rear of the business in the 900 block of River Road around 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Firefighters and the battalion chief found the fire to be a pile of tires.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and pull the pile apart to prevent any further fires.
The fire company was assisted by Union Fire Company - Station 37 of Bensalem Township.
"Crews from Engine 11 and Rescue 11 extinguished the pile of tires as members of our duty crew pulled the pile apart for better water application," said Union Fire Company - Station 37.

It appeared the fire was a case of arson, according to Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.
