DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Signs Now in Downers Grove is doing its part to give back amid the new coronavirus crisis. The sign company recently announced that it will donate free "welcome back to school" banners to schools as they prepare to welcome students back to class.
Signs Now, which has been serving the Downers Grove community for 30 years, has been doing its part to help the community since the pandemic began. They've made and sold sneeze guards, face mask signage, curbside dining banners and social distancing markers for local stores and restaurants.
They've also made signs and banners to honor graduates, many of whom were not able to have in-person graduations.
"We do a lot of work with local schools and some of us have students in the school district," administrator Catherine Krick, whose mother, Marlene, owns the business, told Patch. Krick added that it was great to be able to bring graduates and their families "a little joy."
Schools that are interested in the free welcome back banners can call Signs Now at 630-515-1085. The banners are 3 feet by 8 feet. If a school place a coronavirus signage order, Signs Now will add the school's logo to the sign at no cost.
Signs Now sales representative Reggie Godfrey told Patch "We want the community to stay safe, especially the schools." He added, "We're glad to help the community."
