Press release from the City of Long Beach: 3/3/2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPress Release # 30322 Subject: Cabrillo High School COVID-19 Vaccine Site Expands, Now Offering Friday Clinic Contact: Long Beach, CA – In an effort to make COVID-19 vaccines and boosters more accessible, the vaccination site at Cabrillo High School is now offering vaccine on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for everyone ages 5 and older. The City continues to offer free COVID-19 vaccination six days a week. The COVID-19 vaccination schedule is as follows: Cabrillo High School (2001 Santa Fe Ave.) Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus (Parking Lot 1, at the corner of Orange Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway) Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.) Mondays through Wednesdays, 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CSULB (6049 E. 7th St.) Mondays and Wednesdays in March, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. El Dorado Park West (2800 N. Studebaker Rd.) Wednesdays, 2 to 6 p.m. The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department) also offers in-home mobile vaccinations as a service for individuals with disabilities and those with access and functional needs. This service is also available to long-term care facilities, individuals in skilled nursing, elder care, sober living, and to anyone who cannot leave their homes to travel to a City COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing COVID-19 cases, as well as preventing hospitalization, serious illness or death among breakthrough cases of the virus.
