JOLIET, IL — A 31-year-old intoxicated woman from Chicago was arrested by Joliet police early Thursday morning at the Motel 6 on Mall Loop Drive after she kicked an officer in the chest, according to police reports. Caitlin Cielenski remains in the Will County Jail where she's charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, criminal trespass and resisting the arrest. Joliet police were summoned to the Motel 6 around 4:05 a.m. for a disturbance. "Cielenski was a motel guest and had been previously involved in a loud argument with a male, who was no longer on scene," police announced. " Cielenski appeared intoxicated and remained in the lobby area and at one point, she tried to enter the lobby office." The Motel 6 staff called 911 seeking Joliet police to remove Cielenski from their property. "Shortly after Cielenski had exited the property, it was determined that she had returned and was trying to enter the motel via a side door," police spokesman Dwayne English indicated. Joliet police put her in handcuffs and as officers were taking Cielenski back to a squad car, "she began kicking the vehicle and then kicked an officer in the chest," police said. Jail logs indicate that Cielenski lives in the 400 block of South Water in Chicago. She was booked into the jail at 6:52 a.m. A Will County judge set bail at $10,000.
