ST. MICHAEL, MN — The St. Michael-Albertville High School wrestling team dominated the competition Thursday as it won the Class AAA state championship Thursday night. The Knights defeated Apple Valley High School 45-19 on Thursday morning in the state quarterfinals before beating Anoka High School 43-23 on Thursday afternoon in the semifinal round. By Thursday night, Knights wrestlers were hoisting the Class AAA state championship trophy over their heads after taking down Stillwater 39-27 in the final. Chase Mills, Mason Mills, Ian Schultz, Landon Robideau, Caleb Thoennes, Eli Davis, Cole Becker, Jimmy Heil and Jed Wester all earned individual wins, according to statistics from the Minnesota State High School League.
