SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Four people including a toddler survived a crash Friday involving a Sonoma County Transit Bus northwest of Santa Rosa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened around 6:15 a.m. Friday on River Road, just east of Olivet Road, when the driver of a Subaru Outback rear-ended a Chevrolet Suburban that was stopped in the eastbound lane waiting to turn left into a driveway, the CHP said.
The impact caused the Subaru to move into the westbound lane, directly in front of the bus.
The bus struck the left rear of the Subaru, then continued off the roadway and down an embankment where it overturned onto its side.
