LAKEWOOD, OH — A 73-year-old man was badly hurt during a hit-and-run in Lakewood at the end of February. Now police are hoping the public can find the driver that left the man in the ICU.
On Feb. 22, at 8:40 p.m., a car hit the 73-year-old man while he was walking near Bunts Road, just north of Detroit Avenue.
When EMS and police arrived, they determined the man had suffered serious injuries and rushed him to Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. The 73-year-old was then moved to the intensive care unit for treatment, police said.
As of Thursday, the 73-year-old was still in intensive care, Lakewood Police told Patch.
Investigators obtained video showing the man being hit by a car that leaves the scene after the collision. Police identified the car as a 2017-2019 silver or white Hyundai Sonata.
Photos of the suspected car and driver are above this article. Anyone who can identify the vehicle, or the driver, should contact Lakewood Police at 216-521-6773.
