MA Dominatrix Gets Life Sentence For 2018 Murder

WORCESTER, MA — A Superior Court judge sentenced convicted murderer Julia Enright to life in prison on Friday over the 2018 killing of Brandon Chicklis in Ashburnham. Enright, 25, was found guilty in November after a jury trial. Prosecutors said that Enright, who worked as a dominatrix, killed Chicklis in an Ashburnham treehouse as a gift to her then-boyfriend. Chicklis' body was found along Route 119 in Rindge, New Hampshire, several weeks after he was murdered. During the 10-day trial, Enright's attorneys said she acted in self defense after Chicklis tried to sexually assault her. "Today's sentencing doesn't remove the pain experienced by the Chicklis family after losing their loved one, but we hope it brings a measure of justice for this young man and his family," Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said in a news release. Enright's boyfriend, Jonathan Lind, is facing criminal charges for helping to dispose of Chicklis' body, and lying to law enforcement. Enright will be eligible for parole in 25 years, according to the district attorney.
