On This Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 am to 12:30pm John Craig, of Hart’s Worm Farm, is going to do an in depth presentation for us on composting, and worm composting methods for the home. John will have worm castings and worms for sale for the garden as well. NOTE This will be more than a discussion. We are bringing a large amount of produce waste so John can SHOW attendees how to use it to make compost effectively and in minimal time.. - About 400 lbs The signup form is at We can only accommodate a limited number of people,so sign up early if planning to attend. The entrance to the event is to the right of the restrooms at the Irvine Farm + Food Lab. Enter where the gate is covered in green material. We have attached a map to get to the location of the farm food lab. or google irvine farm food lab. Also, prior to the event, on Saturday, March 5th at 10:00 - 11:00 am. The Master Gardeners are having a demonstration-based workshop on "Starting Off Right with Your Spring Food Garden.” There are 20 of 50 seats still open as of Wednesday.
