Description
Duke Edward Wilson, a 68-year-old logger from Nampa was sentenced Friday to 51-month sentence in federal prison. It is the maximum allowed under federal sentencing guidelines. Wilson hit a police officer with a pipe as part of the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol last year.
Wilson must serve 3 years of supervised probation after he is released from prison, the judge said.
He will also have to pay restitution that is still being determined for damage to the U.S. Capitol building and to U.S. Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, the officer he hit with the pipe.
Longer sentences are going up the chain.
