Semi Stolen, Cars Burglarized In Downers Grove: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police are investigating reports of a stolen semi truck and three burglarized vehicles. The incidents took place between Aug. 26 and Aug. 29, according to a recent police blotter. Construction Vehicles Burglarized in 3000 block of Finley Road Police say two construction vehicles were broken into in the 3000 block of Finley Road sometime between 7 a.m. on Aug. 28 and 6 a.m. on Aug. 29. The stolen items included construction-grade Dewalt drills and batteries, boxes of garbage bags and 10 leather gloves. Car Burglarized in 1500 block of Opus Place Sometime between 12 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 12 p.m. on Aug. 29, a plumber's car was broken into and rifled through. Police say nothing was reported stolen. Semi Stolen in 5200 block of Katrine Avenue A white 2019 Freightliner Cascadia was stolen from Byland Transportation in the 5200 block of Katrine Avenue sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 and 4:45 a.m. on Aug. 27.
