Give the Farmer's Market a try! Our ideal candidate: 1. Must have their own reliable means of transportation to get to their farmers market location with ample space for market supplies - Meaning must have valid drivers license. SUV/Van/Hatchback a plus. Driving maximum of 5 hours round trip. Gas compensated. 2. Physical capacity to repeatedly lift up or drag 35-60 lbs, can load/unload equipment to/from their vehicle, and be on their feet for a minimum of 5 hours at a time 3. Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills, detail-oriented 4. Be engaged and excited about the customer experience and able to handle HIGH VOLUME on their own 5. You have a smartphone with GPS and data capability - will take both cash and card payments though Square 6. Ability to maintain calm, handle details and multi-task in a busy, non-traditional environment 7. Self-starter with outgoing, sunny personality with a sense of humor 8. Energetic, active person who is also a team player and takes direction well. Is able to converse with ease 9. Punctuality and attendance: This means you enjoy working mornings and be available to work ALL (THIS INCLUDES HOLIDAYS) Saturdays/Sunday, rain or shine. Opportunity for weekday work as well. 10. Believe in our product! Job Duties: Load and unload your own vehicle. Set-up and break down tent, tables, and displays. Educate customers about our products and what makes Freshway Fish so special. This is a partially commission based position working as a 1099 independent contractor, pay is competitive. We have several opportunities for individuals interested in marketing and selling our products at local farmers' markets. Farmers’ Markets are a great environment if you love people, the farm-to-table movement, & value environmentally friendly and community based shopping/living. We primarily need weekend warriors. We prefer to send our vendors to the same market weekly so that it becomes “your market” in a way that you are able to get to know your customers (80% weekly repeat customers.) This is a part-time role with shifts each Saturday and/or Sunday, with possible weekday markets when available. The Farmer's Market season is generally from May-October, making it a perfect seasonal or part time job, with opportunities to stay on during the slower season. We provide paid training and all supplies you will need to be successful at your market. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being outdoors, thrive in organization and customer service and love really good seafood(Though not a requirement to be successful)! Many of our current contractors have been with the company for many years.
