Job description Job Description: Local delivery truck driver with excellent customer service skills. As a part of our delivery team you will be responsible for driving your vehicle on a planned route to ensure deliveries are made on time. You will also assist in the loading and unloading process of goods. Previous warehouse and delivery experience is preferred and a clean driving record is required. Key Requirements: CDL-A or B Solid references Clean driving record Prior commercial truck driving Comfortable maneuvering and parking a large vehicle Alert, focused, and detail-oriented Physically and mentally fit Ability to lift up to 94 lbs. at a time Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful Excellent customer service skills Must pass background check and drug test Responsibilities: Load products on vehicles Ensure contents are properly secured on truck to prevent breakage or damage Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries Ensure your truck is properly fueled before leaving Transport merchandise to their intended destinations Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods from truck at selected destinations When product is unloaded by customer (forklift) assist and ensure safety Obtain customer signatures to confirm complete deliveries with clients Notify branch manager immediately if any delivery discrepancy or customer complaint Pick-up loads from manufacturers and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner Assist warehouse staff and customers with loading and unloading processes Have a base knowledge regarding our products Communicate traffic reports, delays, etc. to manager as needed Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.) Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs Track and report working hours Adhere to company rules and regulations Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions Drive respectively.
