We are growing and looking to hire an energetic and motivated person that wants to make a career in the septic industry! We need a capable person that is excited to learn and enjoys working outside in all weather conditions to assist technicians in inspecting, pumping, troubleshooting, and repairing septic systems. Family owned and operated, we want to hire the right employee who cares about the environment and customer relationships. Bilingual/diversity is a huge plus, as is nice penmanship and full vaccination against Covid. Winter hours will average 5-8 hours per day, 5-6 days per week, with summer hours significantly longer. Although based on Camano Island, we serve from Pierce County to the Canadian border. This is an entry level position with growth projection to become fully licensed in two years: Job includes digging, heavy lifting & physical work in outdoor conditions. Willing to learn: The ins and outs of the septic industry. Respect for safety protocols and procedures. How to communicate with customers clearly regarding their septic situations, (needed repairs, proper maintenance, etc.) The septic industry is changing rapidly, now including online County reporting, and continuing education for all Septic Technicians. As the industry changes, so must our company and employees. Once licensed, you will be expected to complete yearly continuing education, and assist with the reporting process. Qualifications: Have a clean driving record, CDL is a plus. Must be able to maintain a medical card- this will require a basic physical, tanker and air brake endorsements. If you are not already CDL qualified, you will be required to obtain a CDL license with company assistance. Pass a drug & alcohol screening. Including marijuana per CDL requirement. Any drug use will be subject to immediate termination. Pass a background check. Having a record does not necessarily disqualify you. Work Experience with commercial truck driving, construction, maintenance or equipment operation is a plus. Required education: High school diploma Benefits: Paid sick time. One-week paid vacation after 1 year of service. Medical, dental, and vision insurance on the 1st of the month following 90 days of continuous full-time employment. Uniform provided: Company sweatshirt, uniform shirts and hat provided. Boots/pants are employee responsibility. IRA with matching after 1 year.
