So, this might be a long shot, but I'm curious if there's anyone around in Greeley who wants to play some music? For background, I'm 32, and I'm from Colorado. I left to the Pacific Northwest for grad school in 2012, but I came back last year because of losing my job to COVID craziness. That said, I don't really know anyone out here anymore. I work from home right now as well, so meeting new people has been challenging. I'm a little introverted, but I'm a huge music nerd, and I like hanging out with other musicians. I play guitar at an intermediate level (I know my scales and can play over about anything, but I don't know how to tap or shred, or anything like that), and I can noodle around on a handful of other instruments. I also make beats using a combo of hardware and software, and I have a little mixing experience, although I'm no sound engineer. I would say my music interests lean towards post-hip hop/experimental stuff, although I like just about all genres. I have a few musical friends from college living in Denver, but getting them to make the trip regularly (or vice versa) is hit or miss at best, and you can't really get comfortable enough playing with someone to write good music unless you can play with them at least semi regularly (imo). Just curious if there is anyone else out there who might want to drink a couple beers, maybe smoke a little weed, and jam. If we click, maybe try to make a little project out of it and play some local open mics or something. Anyway, would love to hear from someone. Thanks for reading.
