POSITION SUMMARY A plumbing service technician is responsible for coordinating, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, inspecting and maintaining plumbing equipment including but not limited to faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, water softeners, garbage disposals, back flow devices, valves and water meters. Etc. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Coordinate, troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and maintain plumbing equipment including but not limited to faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, water softeners, garbage disposals, back flow devices, valves and water meters. Etc. Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.  Be available to work nights, weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of our customers.  Maintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be clean and organized inside & washed on a regular basis.  Maintain proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment in the vehicle.  Maintain and submit daily mileage log forms (on time sheets)  Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at the job site. Obtain customer signatures on invoices. Obtain correct customer information including email address.  Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial#, and pictures if necessary.  Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, explain fully to the customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct the issue.  Participate in company provided training opportunities.  Identify potential opportunities for additional business (newer water heaters, water softener, RO system, service contracts and additional services and provide proposals.)  Follow up on proposals and leads and get work scheduled.. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of plumbing installation Self-starter with a proven track record of efficiently and effectively managing multiple high-priority tasks, projects, and initiatives. Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated experience developing relationships across organizational boundaries with external customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience editing executive correspondence. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
