Description
The Neuroplasticity and Development Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University is seeking participants for an MRI study. Eligible participants are between the ages of 55 and 70 and have normal hearing and vision. This study investigates the role of visual experiences in brain development. The study lasts up to 3 hours long and compensates up to $90.
The first study session will be 1 hour and compensates $30. During this session, participants will listen to and read lists of words and non-words. Participants who are eligible and interested in an MRI will be invited to participate in the second fMRI session, compensation is an additional $45 - $60.
To be eligible for the research, you must:
- be between the ages of 55 and 70,
- have no metal in or on your body (for example, metal dentures, medical devices, irremovable piercings, tattoos)
- have between 13 and 21 years of education,
- have normal or corrected-to-normal vision,
- have normal hearing with no hearing loss in either ear,
- and have no neurological or cognitive disabilities.
