EPC has an opportunity at the Wright City, Missouri facility for a Shipping Lead: Role Description: • Train and oversee work of inventory and fulfillment staff in verifying and keeping record of incoming/outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment • Work with facility manager/supervisor to manage and train existing and future staff • Be responsible for delegation of workflow and priority • Oversee fulfillment, consolidation, and preparation of orders for shipment • Implement company-wide best practices and study procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates • Monitory inventory levels and track inventoried assets • Communicate order status with Shipping Supervisor and/or Facility Manager, Sales Reps, and local Shipping Staff Requirements: Education • High school diploma or equivalent Experience • At least six months of warehouse and/or shipping experience • Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and other shipping methods • Basic knowledge of LTL freight and other container shipping methods • Familiar and able to efficiently use the Iinvision Inventory software Personal Skills • Basic computer skills and able to perform user-friendly tasks such as print, type, and data entry • Must be able to multi-task, have good decision-making skills, and work with minimal supervision • Must be able to use common sense when performing job tasks • Must be able to meet or exceed production goals, follow procedures, and adhere to quality requirements • Must be able to work well with others and perform in a teamwork environment • Must have good leadership skills and be able to motivate others Physical • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation • Must be able to work 8 hours shifts while performing the duties of this job • Must be able to regularly bend, twist, and reach • Use a pallet jack to move equipment from dock to work station • Must be able to handle IT equipment by reading and identifying serial printed letters, numbers, symbols, and model information with a small font size Working Conditions • Warehouse temperatures can vary widely based upon local weather conditions, and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit • Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise levels • Should be open to extra hours, such as weekly overtime, in a fast-paced environment • Help maintain a clean and organized work space IT or relevant electronic experience/education, experience performing annual inventory counts, experience leading a shipping team, and 1+ year of management experience with good communication skills are preferred but not required.
