SD Police Seek Public's Help Identifying A Fatal Hit & Run Victim

SAN YSIDRO, CA — The San Diego Police Department released surveillance footage of a woman walking along a sidewalk in San Ysidro. Police sought the public's help in identifying the woman, who was killed while crossing the street. The woman was struck by an SUV while crossing the street in a San Ysidro neighborhood on Oct. 15. She did not survive her injuries and authorities were unable to identify her, police said. The video can be viewed on YouTube here. Police described the woman as a "Hispanic female in her 40's, with a number of tattoos, including 'Martin' on the upper mid-chest 'Mi Madre Maria' on the upper left breast." Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the San Diego Police Department Traffic Division at 858-495-7800 or email Detective Lewak at [email protected].
