STREETSBORO / CLEVELAND SE KOA CAMPGROUND JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE Maintenance REPORTS TO Maintenance Manager/Campground Owner/Manager(s) GENERAL DUTIES Responsible for: Keeping track of and performing the general maintenance and repair on KOA Campground's buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. Supervising and training staff and assigning duties when appropriate. SPECIFIC DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: Perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Owners. Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guests needs. Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome and professional demeanor. Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smile and clean KOA uniform and name tag. Implement and schedule daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as needed or as outlined by the immediate supervisor. Examples include but are not limited to: pool maintenance and repair, bath house and laundry room cleaning, cabin cleaning, lawn and landscape maintenance, maintaining sewage treatment plant, cleaning of buildings, garbage pick-up, fire ring cleaning, propane pumping, and maintaining various campground equipment and buildings. Comply with all federal and state safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff, campground facilities and campground guests. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the owners, and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible. Perform all other duties assigned by the owners. Follow-up with corrective action in the areas under the team member’s capabilities. • Training staff in safe work practices and the avoidance of accidents. • Timely reporting of all accidents. • Willingness to be trained on proper propane refill procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. • Long periods of standing, bending, and kneeling. • Must be able to safely operate various maintenance tools and equipment. • You must be physically capable of performing expected duties in a professional and efficient manner. JOB QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment, maintenance and installation. • Basic knowledge of pool operations. • Knowledge of safe handling of chemical properties, handling, and usage. • Knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing. • Valid Driver’s License is required.
