W2 Nanny Position, Part Time, Special Needs

Hello! My name is Kate, I am needing a part time/occasional sitter for my special needs daughter, Evalyn. Evalyn is 15 and has cerebral palsy, she weighs roughly 40lbs. She is unable to walk or talk but if full of smiles and laughs. Our home is full of laughing, good vibes, easy communication and love, we would like to find a good fit for us. Evalyn is fed by a g-tube (can easily be taught to the right person) must be able to lift her (40lbs) Evalyn has 2 sisters 9 and 8 that are her biggest fans and support. Some days there are things we need to do that is not feasible to take Evalyn with us, which is why we are looking for someone that can help. Here is a small look into what this position would look like and what her schedule is like. Generally the times I will need help will be Evalyn’s “resting time”from 12p-4pm in which that time is good for someone who is an online student or has computer work to do while she is resting, because when she is resting there’s really nothing to do but watch tv and hang out, this job does not include any house cleaning etc. Evalyn does have a small therapy dog that might need to be let out in the back yard but besides that, there’s no other responsibilities. If the hours go beyond 12-4, it would involve changing her wet diaper after her nap, and setting her in her special chair and possibly starting her feeding (also can be easily taught when needed) When she is awake she likes her TV shows, reading books, and just chillin’. During the days we are home, Evalyn likes to go hiking with us, loves the park and pool and being outdoors, during these hours of care will be her chill/relax time- This position can develop into more hours and overnights as time passes and everyone is comfortable, for now we want to ease into it as we’ve never had anyone beyond family help with her. This position is a W2 position as the payments are made through her insurance which allows for outside care through a W2. Since their pay rate is lower ($8.00) I also pay cash on top of that to bring the hourly rate to ($10.00) plus generally I’ll give extra bonuses in cash on top of that for helping out, extra days, last minute plans etc but at minimum it will be $10.00hr. For the most part this position is very flexible, unless I state specific hours where I need to get to doctors Appts etc. Right now I do not have a set schedule for this position, I would like to find someone that is a good fit and ease into a weekly schedule. I am thinking every other weekend, Sat and Sun and 1-2 days during the week, possibly 16 hours per week.
