Looking for a puppy to surprise my girlfriend.

My girlfriend recently lost her son and is overwhelmed with depression. It breaks my heart to see her so sad day after day. She loves dogs so I want to surprise her with a puppy to be her new friend. I know it will help her cope with this tragedy. She wants a small dog she can carry around with her so a great Dane would be out of the question. Money is tight I can’t afford a big rehoming fee but we can definitely afford to take care of a dog. So if anyone had a small breed puppy for adoption please let me know. Thanks in advance
