Job Title: Garden and Farm Stand Position Position: Part-3/4Time Description: Currently seeking to add an entry level team member who is passionate about supporting local agriculture. This individual must be self-motivated and demonstrate experience with physical labor and desk work. Projects include vegetable garden work, customer service in our farm stand, inventorying product, maintenance of our U-Pick community flower garden, and general landscape maintenance. Candidate will need to be available some weekend days for special events including the annual Rogue Valley Farm Tour. Duties: Applicants must be capable of physical labor, heavy lifting at times, using hand garden tools efficiently, effective phone communication, and computer skills to fulfill job responsibilities. Some data collecting may also be required. This position requires equipment operation including walk-behind tiller, tractor, weed eater, backpack blower, etc. At times, work will be unsupervised, and the individual must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner. This position reports to and works closely with the Garden Manager and Farm Stand Manager. Gardening and/or farming experience a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Microsoft Office and Point of Sale experience a plus. Hourly rate starts at 18.00 hour. Hours: Days of work are somewhat flexible based on approval from the supervisor, but generally are M-Sat, 2-4 days per week. Weekly hours 20-30. Must have a valid driver’s license, a favorable driving record and pass a background check. Covid vaccine required.
