Seeking maintenance person / handyman with some plumbing and minor electrical experience. Part time, Monday-Friday with occasional work opportunities on Saturdays also if desired. We’re an established and growing company that inspects residential and commercial properties prior to the close of escrow and carries out retrofit-related work. We are seeking the right person who would like to be a part of the continued and long-term success of the business. Room for growth and pay-raises as you demonstrate your reliability and skills, and are able to carry out work with less guidance from senior technicians. You'll be working with a friendly and easygoing staff. The right candidate should also have an easy-to-work-with personality. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity (truly, it's not just a slogan), and as a result continue to grow due to word of mouth referrals. Honest and consistently great work is rewarded here. Must be able to work alone, and be good at decision-making to prioritize work and problem solve. Must have own vehicle and tools. Reimbursement for gas and mileage. Responsibilities include: • Driving to customer job sites. • Installing seismic gas shutoff valves (earthquake valves), water heater strapping, toilet replacement, smoke detectors (both hard-wired and battery operated) and carbon monoxide detectors. • Communicate with office manager, and complete and send paperwork/billing info to office at the end of each day. Qualifications: • Prefer at least 3 years of plumbing experience. • Prefer at least 3 years experience doing minor electrical work (installing new hardwired smoke detectors, for instance). • Fluent in English (Bilingual/Spanish-speaking a plus, but not required). • Personable and outgoing demeanor and presentation. • Must possess a high-degree of responsibility, a great work ethic, and consistently be at work on-time.
