Do You Know Helpful Places That Accept Donations?

Description

Hi, Due to circumstances beyond my control, March will be my last month living in Seattle. I’ve scraped through some of the most profound challenges to survive and understand life here, and it occurred to me that I’d like to use my energy to try to get every little thing to people or places that it would help. I’m not saying I have a bounty of anything. I lived a spartan life with just the things I truly enjoy that takes a while to accrue; it’s just that I’d like to see if certain places are looking for ordinary things when people have no use for something anymore. Things like a few plushies or video games, Ethernet cables, laundry supplies, toiletries, bedding, food containers, etc… I’d rather get them right to people who’d use it. For example, do you know of a specific elderly home that appreciates certain things that enriches the environment or functions of the place? Do you know something specific that an orphanage could use? Do you know one looking for something in particular? Or is there some donation program for prisons? Juvenile prisons? Is there a rehabilitation or traumatic therapy center that you know receives donations and what specifically would be great? Is there any program that could use some unused instruments to allow someone to express themselves? Simple audio equipment to record? A cutting mat for artists? Is there a school for deaf or blind people that has a unique need they wish people knew about? Are there programs or places that provide services like haircuts or some basic needs that could use some sort of grooming or hygiene things? Is there something a men’s or women’s needs focused organization especially looks for? Anything that especially focuses on people who may feel vulnerable or otherly or overlooked, and everyday things might help them get farther. I just hoped by asking I might be able to really streamline accomplishing the idea with such limited time to sort my situation out and move. I live in East Capitol Hill without a car, so in the city is real doable, but I’m up for putting any resources I have to get things out to an exceptional place. Thanks!
