Description

Networking now for band to startup when all the band member issues fall together. I have strong commitments from great players but i would like to get the vocalist position sorted out. I play guitar and write. Good stuff in the works; I'm writing short form straight to the point rock, other rock, psychedelia inspired noisy rock, rocky rock, edgy, melodic, dissonant off the wall punk rock, bluesy groovy stoner pop. The music will not sound like everything else out there, bands copying other band's sounds. Killer rhythmic grooves, fresh sounding chord progressions and tight arrangements: Bluesy Rock, RocknSoul with blends of Funk and Be Bop, Swing, Jazz Fusion, Noisy Power PopnRoll. Mostly uptempo, straight to the point, lean and mean, melodic and catchy, lots of genuine and distinct attitude. Material is always in development and I get new ideas regularly. I write every day. And there's a backlog of ideas that need developing and arranging. I’m shooting for catchy, cool, distinct, very tight, not hackneyed, not amateur, not corporate, not predictable, not overly derivative, not out of date and stuck in a different era that does not exist anymore. What's needed here?? 18--30ish with marketable talent. Reliable. Cis Gender natural born Female not Transgender. Trans doesn't fit the concept. Thanks for understanding. Experienced and pro level. Good with uptempo rocking stuff. We won't be doing the type of agonizingly slow, melodically meandering indie songwriter music that is currently in vogue. Good ears and good brains, creative--you can work out your interpretation of new songs from scratch and you can figure out what works and what doesn't work or sounds hackneyed. Alto, Mezzo or Contralto range is more in line with rocky type stuff than Soprano, generally. Soprano can work when there's an interesting or appealing texture and a 'nose job' sound isn't prominent. Be able to stay on key with pitch control and you know how to get breathing and pacing worked out. If you can't stay on key or don't have good pitch control please pass on this. This is not American Idol auditions. You like and can tolerate the sound of tube guitar amp overdrive. If you don't like that sound this is likely the wrong band for you even though that's an industry standard. I don't go for the type of distortion that metal bands use. I'm in favor of sane volume levels; my amps are low/medium wattage combos. I dislike venues where the sound system is too loud for the size of the space or insanely loud because they can do it. Send a singing sample or a link to a sample. Include your contact information.
