This is a comprehensive two day course which will help the trained individual develop proficiency in critical incident care as well as introduce the novice to the psychology behind crisis counseling. This course is open to Fire, Police, EMS, Mental Health, Military and clergy. The course is interactive with videos and role plays.
Day one will equip attendees with the essential skills needed for Critical Incident Response. The workshop will teach you how to effectively manage Individuals in crisis and how to provide effective peer support to your fellow first responders.
Day two will provide insight and understanding of the different types of stress in public safety culture and how our stresses differ from, and are experienced differently than, those in the civilian world. It will provide practical information for providing crisis intervention support to first responder organizations and individuals experiencing a crisis.
