In December, students held a gift drive to fulfill the wishes of local children and seniors through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Students donated 60 gifts to the individuals they sponsored. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and helping others. Sunshine Pantry is a family-run food bank in Beaverton that supplies food, toiletries and clothing to more than 500 families in need a month. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothes and toys for 1 million children who usually go without gifts during the holiday season. Anonymous donors adopt these little "angels" in an expanding holiday tradition that makes the season brighter for both the gift giver and receiver.
