Description
Jason Simon, President of the Evangelical Catholic, speaks on the challenge for our Church today. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 Each generation of Catholic Christians faces the challenge of how to put this command from the Lord into action. Drawing upon over 22 years of experience in evangelization and discipleship formation, the Evangelical Catholic created the REACH MORE mission process to help your average lay disciple become a disciple-maker. We are currently partnered with 6 parishes and 1 campus ministry in the Diocese of Cleveland to launch our REACH MORE mission process. Our generation faces its own unique challenges. During this presentation, Jason will share his perspective on how our Church can thrive in these challenging times. Jason is the President of The Evangelical Catholic (EC). After working briefly in engineering, he began working in the Church as a parish Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry. Through this work, he saw the power of evangelization in the Church and his passion to see more lives impacted by the Holy Spirit. In 2007, he graduated from the M.Div. Theology Program at the University of Notre Dame and then began leading the EC. Under his leadership, the Evangelical Catholic has experienced consistent expansion by equipping local Catholic leaders to not only be disciples, but disciple-makers. Jason and the EC’s staff built Reach More™ and Nextstep to equip Catholic lay leaders to fulfill the Great Commission. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife, Grace, and six children. This talk is open to all. We encourage anyone interested in evangelization and discipleship in the Catholic church to attend.
