Are you ready for a sweet, gentle giant in your life? Meet Mako, an endearing, handsome, affectionate, loyal, 8-year-old Akita. Mako has faced some ups & downs in his life, so we’re seeking a family who can provide him with the best golden years a dog can enjoy. Mako greets visitors and neighbors with a wagging tail and a smile. He loves his daily walks. He doesn’t jump and rarely barks. He raises his arms in the air for armpit scratches and rolls over for tummy rubs. He’s house trained and has some good basic obedience skills, including come and down-stay. Mako needs to be only dog, and that’s why he’s being rehomed. His current owners have another dog and the rescue didn’t tell them he had some past incidents of aggression toward other dogs. Older kids over 12 should be fine. His vaccinations are up-to-date and veterinary records will be provided to his lucky new family. Reasonable rehoming fee.
