Description

Little Leaf Farm's vision to transform how food is grown / Food Sustainability Little Leaf Farm's vision is to transform the way food is grown. Over 90% of the greens eaten in New England are shipped from over 3000 miles away, and the people at Little Leaf Farms believe there is a better, more sustainable way. Chris Sellew is excited to share the company's story on how they provide the fresh, tasty baby lettuces in the Northeast, all year round! Little Leaf Farms was founded in 2015 by Paul Sellew and Tim Cunniff. In the fall of that year, the first phase of Little Leaf's 10 acre greenhouse was developed in Devens, MA. The company is rapidly expanding its share of the New England market, and by late 2020 they quadrupled their size to keep up with consumer demand. With over 30 years’ experience developing and leading successful companies, Paul has built a career on his belief in sustainable agriculture. As the founder of Backyard Farms, he brought locally grown, greenhouse tomatoes to the East Coast market. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Cornell University. Chris Sellew is Sales Manager at Little Leaf Farms and the son of the founder, Paul Sellew. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated. The speaker's program will start at 7:30 PM after a brief member's meeting.
