This Concealed Handgun Permit Class meets all State requirements necessary to apply for the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate which must be submitted with the application for the permit. Topics covered include: Handgun nomenclature and safe handling proceduresAmmunition and fundamentals of handgun shootingConflict avoidance, conflict resolution, and the legal use of deadly force.Handgun shooting positionsChild access preventionCare and CleaningRange QualificationClass length: 9.5 hours What to bring: Your pistol, 50 rounds of ammunition, and ear and eye protection. Please wear proper footwear (no open toed shoes or sandals). Ear and eye protection are included with the class. If you do not already have a pistol, you are able to choose from a wide variety of rentals from FRC. Ammunition for most handgun calibers is available for purchase.
